Kavuni Arisi Dosa
Delicious dosa made using Kavuni Rice
Ingredients
- Kavuni arisi: 200 gm
- Boiled rice: 100 gm
- Urad dhal (Vulundhu): 50 gm
- Fenugreek (Vendhayam): ½ teaspoon
- Salt: 1.1/2 tsp
Steps
- Mix both the rice into a bowl, wash and soak for 6-8 hours
- Mix Urad dhal and Fenugreek into a bowl, wash and soak for 1 hour
- Blend soaked Urad dhal and Fenugreek to a fine paste in a mixer/grinder, and set aside
- Grind both the rice to a smooth paste, use water as needed during the process, and once done keep the batter aside
- Mix both the batter (Urad dhal, fenugreek and rice) along with salt
- Cover it and ferment it for 6-8 hours
- Once fermented, mix the batter thoroughly, pour it in to hot tawa, drizzle oil, and roast it well
- Serve it hot with any favourite chutney
