Basmati Veg. Fried Rice
A popular and flavoured basmati rice recipe made with cooked rice
Ingredients
- Basmati Rice – 2 cups
- Veggies of your choice (Carrot, Beans, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Capsicum)
- Black pepper powder – 3 -4 tbsp
- Soya sauce (optional) – 1 tbsp
- Garam masala – 1 tsp
- Oil 2 tbsp.
- Water as required
- Salt to taste
Steps
- Wash the basmati rice and soak for 10 mins (optional)
- Add water and oil to a cooking pot and allow to boil
- Once the water comes to a boil add the Basmati rice to it and cook for 10-15 mins till it 70% cooked in a low flame
- Strain the rice through a strainer and keep aside
- In a Kadai, add little oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add in chopped garlic and ginger and saute them
- Now add onion and other veggies of your choice and saute them with required salt
- Once the veggies are cooked add soya sauce(optional), garam masala and black pepper powder
- Add in the cooked basmati rice and saute along with the veggies for few minutes
- Garnish with coriander
- Serve with a gravy of your choice
