Kodo Millet (Varagu) Curd Rice


Delicious curd rice added with Kodu Millet (varagu)


  • Kodo Milllet – 1 cup
  • Water as required
  • Salt as needed
  • Fresh curd – 2 cups
    For Garnishing
  • Chopped Mango
  • Chopped Onion
  • Curry leaves
  • Pomegranate fruit


  1. Wash the Kodo millet well
  2. Soak it for sometime and cook the Kodo millet with the ratio of  1:3 cups of rice and water in a cooker on medium flame.
  3. After cooked, add salt,2 cups of fresh curd and stir it well.
  4. Finally you can add chopped mango, onion, curry leaves, pomegranate fruit for garnishing and to enrich the taste.

Prep Time - 10 mins

Cook Time - 15 mins
