Karuppu Kavuni Sweet


Karuppu Kavuni Sweet is a popular sweet recipe in Chettinad region.


  • Karuppu Kavuni Rice – ½ cup
  • Water – 1.1/2 cups
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Cashew
  • Elachi
  • Ghee


  1. Soak Karuppu Kavuni rice for eight hours
  2. Add water and pressure cook for 5 whistles
  3. Once cooled add the cooked rice and Jaggery to a kadai
  4. Once you get the right consistency, add Cashew, Elachi and Ghee

Prep Time - 20 mins

Cook Time - 10 mins
