Delicious, as well soft kozhukattai suitable for a healthy breakfast

Ingredients

  • Ragi Flour – 1 cup

  • Moong Dal – ¼ cup
  • Ghee – 1 tsp
  • Hot water – ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 2 tsp
    For Tempering
  • Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Broken Ural Dal – 1tsp
  • Channa Dal – 1 tsp
  • Onion – 1 chopped
  • Green Chilli – 2 chopped
  • Curry leaves and Coriander – 1 tbsp.
  • Coconut shredded

    Steps

    1. In a pan, add Ragi flour and fry for 2 mins till aroma arises.
    2. Add ghee and moong dal and mix well.
    3. Sprinkle little water and steam it for 10 mins.
    4. Now allow to cool and keep aside.
    5. Saute all the ingredients given under for tempering .
    6. Now mix with Ragi and mix well.
    7. Make shape of Pidi Kozhukattai and steam for 10 mins.
    8. Ragi Kara Kozhukattai is ready.

    Prep Time - 10 mins

    Cook Time - 30 mins
