FAQ

ü How long should we soak Kodo millet?
Soaking millet makes it easier to digest and allows your body to absorb more nutrients. Simply soak your millet in 3 times the amount of water for at least 7-8 hours. I usually do it overnight. Then, drain the water in a colander and give your millet a good rinse.

ü Can we eat Kodo millet daily?
For those who are health conscious and are wary about what they eat, experts suggest that millets should be a part of their daily regular diet. Millets are nutritious, non-glutinous (non-sticky) and are not acid-forming foods, thus making them very easy to digest.

ü Is Kodo millet white or brown?
Kodo is an annual tufted grass that was domesticated in India almost 3000 years ago. The grains vary in colour from light red to dark grey, and like most millets the fiber content is very high.

ü Is Kodo millet gluten free?
Kodo millet is also known as Varagu rice or kodra in hindi and has been grown and consumed in the southern part of India for centuries. Being gluten free it is also suitable for people with gluten intolerance/Celiac Disease.
